News Update

Welcome to the 2024 season.

Our opening day took place on Friday 12th April where President Mark Mitchell welcomed everyone and invited his wife Vicky to deliver the first jack of the season.

A great night was had by everyone present with the celebrations going on late into the night.  This led to a few sore heads and bleary eyes as the club played it's first friendly of the season on Saturday, away to Aberdour.  Thanks to everyone who contributed and made this a great start to the season, the chilli prepared and presented by our catering committee was amazing!

We would like to thank Aberdour BC and it's members for the warmth of the welcome we received and for hosting a fantastic day's bowling followed by a very enjoyable meal and camaraderie in the clubhouse.  We wish our friends from Aberdour BC all the very best for their matches this season.

We move on to one of our longest standing friendlies this weekend with the visit of our friends from Rosyth BC to Lumphinnans.  Anyone wishing to come along to watch will be made most welcome.

Coming Soon

We are hosting a quiz night in the club on Saturday 18th May.  These are always a fun night in the club with questions being posed by our resident quizmaster, Secretary John Thomson.  Entry is £5 for a team of four people.  We look forward to seeing you there.

As always, we have a 'rock' night planned for later in the year, Saturday 21st September, and as usual will be held in the Royal British Legion in Crossgates.  These nights are always well attended by members and guests and raise much needed funds for the club.  The bands will be announced soon, tickets remain at the unbelievable bargain price of £5 per person and will be available ASAP.

We intend to have a lot more events in the club over the next year, with the return of our Comedians' Brunch being a highlight.  This is planned for late in the year and will be confirmed soon.  We also plan to have a return to tasting events, more quizzes, karaoke, music nights, games nights and many more events in the club.  If there is anything you would like us to run, please feel free to contact any committee member.

Events

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen events, our race night was postponed earlier in the year. We will rearrange this and announce the date soon.

New Entrance

Visitors to the club now use our new entrance way which was officially opened by Councillor Darren Watt at the start of the 2018 season. Disabled access is still available a few yards to the left of this gate, which allows level access into the green surrounds and then all parts of the club.  The original plan was for the main entry to be sloped and allow disabled access, but sadly we were unable to do this due to the steepness of the ramp.
